Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have ukuleles thrust upon them...
Eight women forgot their guitars were dry-clean only, discovered a sale on Hawaiian shirts at Beyond Retro, and the sheet music for 'Take A Chance On Me' floated towards them on the breeze. Thus were Qukulele born.
Their repertoire proves that any song can be given a Qukulele makeover: it's not all about cleaning windows. They sing, rap, play and kazoo their way through covers and mashups of Girls Aloud, Ricky Martin, Bonnie Tyler, Depeche Mode and even TV theme tunes!
Qukulele are a regular sight at community and comedy events, benefits and launches around Brighton and Sussex. They love playing at festivals, celebrations, and birthday parties that end with an '0', and their sell-out Christmas shows have become a regular holiday fixture.
They're ready to conquer the world, after one more cup of green tea and another organic scone...
